Evening Hike!!! Garganta Del Capitán!!!x

Come along and spend time in Nature, Get Fit, Meet New People and HIKE HIKE HIKE!!!x

At least twice a month we'll be visiting a new location, of varying fitness levels and varying distances - so there's something for EVERYONE!!!x

So About This Route: 

Name:  Garganta Del Capitán

Location: Algeciras

Distance: 6kms 

Elevation: 166m

We've explored this route a few times, and its absolutely perfect for the Summer Months, as you get to enjoy & swim in the beautiful Garganta Del Capitán Waterfall. But this time, we're mixing it up, and going in the evening!!!

When its a little cooler. 

We'll be starting the River Hike at 18:00pm 🕙🌎💪🏾⛰

The route isn't too long... Just 3kms each way. However, the terrain down to the Waterfall itself is literally vertical!!! 

It involves scrambling, climbing, and hiking down / and back up a steep path. So if your balance isn't up to stretch or you don't like heights, please do sit this one out!!!

Also, it's great to get into the Rock Pool and enjoy the Waterfall, so its advisable to bring adequate footwear with lots of grip - and you must be able to swim

I would class the route as medium difficulty, just because of the uneven terrain, river crossings and odd bits of climbing over wet rocks. So please only join us if you are physically fit, have good balance and enjoy getting wet 🌊🌊🌊😂😂😂

There'll be lots of time to jump in, swim and have a picnic in the sunshine before the sunset 🤿🩱🩲🩳🤿

☑ Snacks, Packed Lunch & Lots of Water 

☑ Sun Cream 

☑ Sun Glasses 

☑ Medication - If Needed 

☑ Waterproof Camera 

☑ Swimwear - If Wanting To Get In 

☑ Towel

☑ Comfortable Trainers or Hiking Boots 

☑ Water Shoes For The Rock Pool

There's Lots Of Free Parking!!!! 🚘🚘🚘
